ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

Your Pathway to Professional Accounting.

The Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) is a unique 4-year accounting degree programme developed in partnership with Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia.

The programme is designed to provide students with a shorter route towards professional accounting qualification. After completing the first three years of the programme, students proceed with five professional CPA papers.

Students will develop knowledge across accounting, auditing, taxation, finance and business while preparing for professional and career opportunities in the accounting industry.

Full-time Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) programme.

Complete the required programme credits throughout your studies.

03 5 CPA Papers

Progress to five professional CPA papers after completing three years of the programme.

04 CPA Australia

A professional accounting pathway developed in partnership with CPA Australia.

CIMA Opportunity

Students may also obtain membership of CIMA by passing the Strategic Case Study paper.

Study in New Zealand

Through the UNIRAZAK-Waikato twinning programme, students can pursue part of their studies at the University of Waikato in New Zealand.

INTERNATIONAL PATHWAY

UNIRAZAK × University of Waikato

Under the twinning programme, students can study for 2 years and 1 semester at UNIRAZAK before pursuing an additional 1½ years in New Zealand.

Students can be awarded the University of Waikato Bachelor of Business (BBus), majoring in Accounting and minoring in Finance, in addition to the UNIRAZAK Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) degree.

Minimum GP 2.33 in two subjects

STAM Jayyid

Minimum grade of Jayyid (Good)

DIPLOMA CGPA 2.50

Level 4, MQF

FOUNDATION CGPA 2.50

Matriculation / Foundation or equivalent

MALAYSIAN STUDENTS

Academic Requirements

01

A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in two subjects.

02

A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid (Good).

03

A pass in Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.

04

A pass in Matriculation / Foundation qualification or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.

05

Diploma in Accounting fields (Level 4, MQF) or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50. Candidates with a CGPA below 2.50 but more than 2.00 may be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment.

Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) in Accounting fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, subject to UNIRAZAK's Senate / Academic Board's approval.

07

Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) in Accounting fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, subject to UNIRAZAK's Senate / Academic Board's approval.

Possess an Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF) in accounting or related field with at least a CGPA of 2.50.

Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

Additional Requirements

Mathematics

Credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

English

MUET Band 3.0 or equivalent, OR Credit in English at SPM level.

OTHERS Other Admission Pathways

Other relevant or equivalent qualification, experience and requirement accepted by UNIRAZAK's Senate / competent authority in Malaysia.
Possess an Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL A) for admission.

IMPORTANT Notes for Academic Requirements

Candidates without credit in Mathematics at SPM level and/or without MUET Band 3.0 or equivalent / without credit in English at SPM level need to take and pass the enhancement Mathematics and/or English subject that is equivalent to the SPM level. The enhancement subject must be offered in the first semester or before enrolment with conditional offer.
Students from Matriculation / Foundation, its equivalent or higher qualification can be exempted from taking enhancement Mathematics and English, provided that Mathematics and English offered at that programme level is equivalent to or more than the requirement specified for this level.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

English Language Requirement

MINIMUM MUET Band 3.5 or equivalent to CEFR (High B1)

International students must achieve a minimum of Band 3.5 in MUET or equivalent to CEFR (High B1).

If a student does not meet this requirement, the UNIRAZAK's Senate must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student's proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.

Note: Conditional offer letter will be issued to an international student who has not met the English Proficiency Requirement.
